I39 road work update#
Officials will work to update information on segments of the corridor planned to be closed to all traffic for construction activity. Note, this detour was originally scheduled to begin June 5th, but was accelerated due to unforeseen conditions and adverse weather. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses, however drivers may need to use alternate sidestreet routes as some of the intersections will be closed to all traffic during phases of the work. A detour route will be in place using US Highway 51 and County Road Q. Both of the main driving lanes will remain open during this first week of work, but drivers should expect delays.īeginning Friday June 2nd, the project will be closed to through traffic. Work will begin on Tuesday May 30th as crews will begin work on the roadway shoulders and the auxiliary lanes.
